Info from 2013 gunbroker Ad:

"It is an original, New in Box, FN FAL G series Lightweight .308 Rifle. The serial number of this firearm is on the BATFE's published Amnesty list, so even though it uses the same receiver as the select-fire FAL it is considered a title one firearm and requires no special paperwork or registration to own. These were imported in very small numbers by Browning in the early sixties. There are no import markings. I have the original inner box, which is in excellent condition, the outer shipping box, the original Browning manual, the plastic sleeve, crepe packing, gas block adjusting tool, original, correct aluminum 20 round magazine, and sling. Note that even the original newspaper liner, dated 1963, is still in the box. The Lightweight is a very rare variation, which was manufactured by FN with an aluminum lower and composite fore-end. I have owned this for many years, and have never fired it, the person I purchased it from sold it to me as NIB and I can see no evidence that this gun was fired, other than factory test firing. Also, there are NO ejection case markings on the receiver, so I do believe it to be NIB. There is one scratch on the mag well, which may be a handling mark, or it may have been there since day one. Since this uses a black painted receiver, it could be easily touched up, but I will leave that decision to the new owner. "
